I bought this book bc I loved the description and bc it had so many high ratings. Unfortunately, for me, the connection between James and Reese was extremely underdeveloped. They went to a couple of dinners, which were glossed over and all of a sudden they're so in love. The story could have been great, but it the dialogue and story was underdeveloped.If your curious about the book, you should wait until it goes on sale for .99.

I did enjoy the story and the characters in it. The fact that James has a very shady sexual past is difficult for Reese to get over but he loves her completely and is determined to make it work.
If you read as many contemporary romances as I do, then this book will read like a mish mash of scenes from some of the most popular ones out there. It is not a bad book but there is no originality or creativity to it. Also at times I felt like it jumped a lot sequentially. I liked it but it felt like I was re-reading some other favorites written into these characters
I can't imagine this story not appealing to any romance reader. I prefer darker, edgier reads and yet I found myself fully engaged. Faint whispers of BDSM but nothing any reader could find objectionable. Several times I thought we were building in suspense of something sinister happening but then it would seamlessly even out. The biggest lesson in this book was the open, honest communication between the lovers. This is something so often we all fail at. The stage seems to be set for some more in this series with at least 2 other couples, and I will read them!
If you're looking for a romance without all of the unnecessary "misunderstanding" drama, this is your story. Overall cute story, good characters, well written. ***mini spoiler*** What I loved about this story was how the characters didn't constantly break up because of misconstruing situations. They faced them head on and worked through them. Does the male come off as way over protective and broodish. Absolutely, but for good reason. I also liked how the author led you one way with the new neighbor, but it turned out not to be a psychotic stalker.
Good story line!- James was domineering and persistent in his pursuit of getting Reese. Reese started out being a strong independent business woman but seems to me she kinda lost her identity once James had caught her. I can say she held steadfast in her love and trust in her man. Even when her ex, Richard tried to come between her and James, she continued to believe in her Man, James.
Thank God for Phillip, he was a good solid friend that wanted only the best for Reese. Hope there is a part 2 because I really would like to see what happens with Ashton and Megan. This was a good read and I would purchase more from this author.
I liked reading this story of Reese and James. It is told mostly in Reese's POV. I especially liked reading about Reese's friendship with Phillip. He is a fun and smart character. Reese is a strong and independent woman who is so afraid of losing herself on the intense and fast relationship she begins with James. I don't think that she does, but James at times can be overwhelming. Although James could be seen as an overbearing and a jealous person, he is upfront and honest about his actions. They were a mature couple who actually talked about their issues and feelings. I enjoyed that immensely. There is quite a bit of steamy scenes and funny ones also to balance everything out. There is also a little drama, but it doesn't diminish the story. Just read it and you will enjoy.
in the beginning with the instaconnection/attraction was feeling like it was taking too long taking off. it was written where you feel the heat to the point where you are saying ENOUGH ALREADY let's do this. whooo. but when the get it together it's an awesome ride. James was just too sexy for words. I never quite got the take on Reece. she seems all bad ass strong supposedly has had several casual relationships with one serious relationship that broke her heart, but with James she all unsure of herself and James loyalty. seriously.....love makes you vulnerable, but it's supposed to make you stronger as well. at times she came across vulnerable but strong then other times weak and annoying and indecisive. yeah, I felt the cyber bitch slap coming on, then she would get her shtuff together, ok her head out of her ass, thank god for her friend Phillip, who I adored.....thankfully he helps the readers from trashing their kindle. anyway. excellent read, but I'm feeling a series here. yeah.....Ashton and Megan. how bout jace and Olivia or mason and Kate. just sayin or prayin......OK HINT HINT
